Let me begin by describing what I can do for you. I genuinely care about each of my clients and will take the time to get to know you and your family. This increases your comfort level with me, allowing the different facets of your personality (quirks and all!) to shine through in your images. I make each client look their very best. This is partly the result of my clients feeling very relaxed around me, but also my years of experience photographing people and posing them in the most flattering ways for them. Everyone deserves to have a beautiful photograph of her/himself or their family. Let me use my talent and experience to give you images you will fall in love with.
Since my early childhood, I've been captivated by the beauty and nostalgia of photography. I guess it's in my genes - my dad recorded practically every second of my childhood on VHS. And I think it's so amazing that I have a tangible copy of all of those memories (converted to DVD now). In high school I was always the one carrying around a camera and taking snapshots with my friends, but it wasn't until my senior year that I took my first formal photography class and fell in love with the art.
I'm passionate about photographing a variety of genres, and that's what fuels the growth and excitement in my career. As a mother, I understand the importance of documenting those precious but fleeting moments as our kids grow up before our eyes. The electricity and romantic energy during the momentous occasion of a wedding day is so contagious that it inspires me to capture every magical moment in my photojournalistic approach. Creating images that my clients will treasure forever is the most rewarding job I have ever had, and I'm so grateful to each of them for giving me the pleasure to get to know them and their families.
I prefer to use natural light when I can, and create a relaxed and fun setting to capture the natural interactions between families. Please excuse my silliness, but genuine smiles are just so much better than saying "CHEESE." My clients have the option of a studio/outdoor shoot at my home or one of the beautiful public parks in the area. I'm located in Montgomery County, Maryland where I live with my wonderful husband, two fun boys and our sweet shih-tzu, Portia.
